Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Invention Space (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Invention Space.

2. Description of Service

Invention Space provides AI-powered invention viability analysis, including market research, competitor analysis, and scoring across multiple dimensions. The Service also includes:

• Idea submission, management, and document storage
• AI-generated business tools (lean canvases, business model canvases, business plans)
• AI-generated pitch decks with custom illustrations
• AI-powered chat assistance for invention development
• Consultant matching and messaging
• Market intelligence monitoring and alerts
• Shareable analysis reports

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.

4. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to your invention ideas, submissions, and uploaded documents. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process and analyze it solely to provide our services to you. We do not claim ownership of your ideas.

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, analysis algorithms, AI models, generated reports, and platform content (excluding your submissions), is owned by Invention Space and protected by intellectual property laws.

Generated Reports & Documents: Analysis reports, business plans, pitch decks, and other documents generated by the Service based on your input are provided for your personal and business use. You may use these outputs as you see fit, but we retain rights to the underlying templates, formatting, and generation systems.

5. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses Google Gemini AI and Google Imagen to generate analyses, business documents, chat responses, and illustrations. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is provided for informational and planning purposes only and should not be considered professional advice (legal, financial, engineering, or otherwise).
• AI outputs may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or errors. You should independently verify any critical information before making business or investment decisions.
• AI-generated images in pitch decks are for illustration purposes only and may not accurately represent your product or invention.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
• We recommend consulting qualified professionals (patent attorneys, financial advisors, engineers) before acting on AI-generated recommendations.

6. Analysis Reports

Analysis reports are generated by AI and are provided for informational purposes only. Scores, verdicts, and recommendations reflect AI-generated assessments based on the information you provide and publicly available data. They should not be treated as guarantees of market success, patentability, or commercial viability. We recommend consulting qualified professionals before making significant business or investment decisions based on our reports.

7. Payment, Subscriptions & Refunds

Invention Space offers tiered subscription plans:

• Explorer (Free): Basic features including idea submission and free analysis
• Builder: Enhanced features including business plan generation
• Pro: Full access including pitch deck creation and priority support

Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select. Annual plans are billed upfront at a discounted rate. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

Free Trials: If offered, free trial periods allow you to try paid features before being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will convert to a paid plan.

Refunds: If you are not satisfied with a purchase, you may request a refund within 7 days by contacting our support team. Refunds are processed on a case-by-case basis.

8. Data Processing & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy, including our use of cookies and analytics.

If you are located in California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, additional privacy rights apply to you as described in our Privacy Policy, including rights under the CCPA and GDPR.

9. Cookie Policy

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, analytics cookies to improve our Service, and preference cookies to remember your settings. 10. Prohibited Uses

You may not: use the Service for any illegal purpose; submit content that infringes on others' intellectual property; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the Service; use automated tools to scrape or access the Service; interfere with other users' use of the Service; submit false or misleading information; use the Service to generate spam, phishing content, or malicious materials; or resell or redistribute our services without authorization.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Invention Space shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct. You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and close your account.
